Automatic control and protection station POTOK-K2
Automatic control and protection station POTOK-K2 is designed for protection and control of electric motors of submersible electric pumps or industrial plants with power up to 160 kW with deaf earthed neutral.
Field of application: industrial and construction equipment, installations of external and submersible electric pumps for pumping liquids in moderately cold or tropical climates.
Structurally, the station is a cabinet including:
– power switching and protective equipment (contactors, auto switches),
– current sensors and microcontroller control unit with internal and external sensors and controls and indication.

POTOK-K2 operates in manual and automatic modes and performs the following functions:
Direct start with adjustable switch-on delay time;
Protection of electric motor or other electrical equipment:
- from undervoltage and overvoltage, outside the operating voltage range;
- from incomplete phase operation and incorrect phase rotation;
- from a short circuit in the motor circuit;
- against overload and underload of electric motor by operating current with protection tripping time:
at Irab. > 15 I nom. (short-circuit) – 0,05 sec.
at Irab. > 1.7 Inom. – 10 sec.
at Irab. > 1.25 Inom. – 20 sec.
at Irab. > 1.1 Inom. – 60 min.
at Irab. < 0.6 I-nom. – 20 sec.
- from reduced (less than 0.5 ± 0.1 MOhm) insulation resistance of the electric motor and connecting cable;
- from the pump dry run mode by an alarm signal from one of the external sensors;
Automatic reclosure and shutdown (based on internal and external sensor signals);
Indication of the cause of emergency stop;
Indication of operating current and operating mode;
On-site control and programming.
The user can set the following device parameters independently:
- rated operating current of the load;
- delay time when the motor or other electrical equipment is switched on;
- station operation mode according to the signals of external sensors.
The station is programmed to operate a given equipment using various relay sensors (liquid level, pressure, etc.).
By individual order, the station is supplied in a dust and moisture-proof enclosure with protection degree IP 54, with internal heating, remote control and signaling, as well as with an overvoltage protection unit against overvoltages occurring in the network during lightning discharges.
